Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a form the therapy in which an individual is able to process through experiences or feelings in a faster pace than traditional talk therapy. It uses bilateral hand and eye movements to help the brain process more quickly and achieve resolution at a fast pace; typically 1-6 sessions. This process is straightforward and utilizes eye movements and voluntary memory or image replacement to change and alter the way negative images are stored in the brain. It is a unique process that does not require the client to talk about the struggle they wish to process through and is a form of therapy that can be extremely empowering. As long as an individual can see their story in their mind, has a desire to change and is open minded this form of evidence based therapy is life changing.
