About Supervision

Tandice Peterson with Pathway Counseling is a registered clinical supervisor with the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Therapists. What this means is I can now provide supervision to incoming counselors not yet licensed as well as clinicians within our community seeking their clinical licensure. I am also able to provide consultations to and for other clinicians seeking extra advice/guidance on issues or struggles relating to individuals they are working with. I have completed the necessary requirements through the board and outside trainings in order to be able to provide this service at Pathway Counseling.

Benefits of Clinical Supervision and Consultation

Supervision ensures that counselors continue to increase their skills, which in turn increases treatment effectiveness, client retention, and staff satisfaction. The clinical supervisor also serves as liaison between administrative and clinical staff.

Benefits of Clinical Consultation

To benefit from each other's experience. To talk through challenging or difficult interactions with clients. To work through issues triggered for the therapist (countertransference) To learn and use new techniques to help your clients and yourself.
