About Us

Jackie is originally from Soda Springs, ID. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Utah State University in Logan, UT. While in Utah she was able to gain experience working in residential treatment facilities for both substance use and eating disorders. This is also where she became acquainted with biofeedback/neurofeedback training. Jackie received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She has experience with adolescents and adults  dealing with addictive behaviors, self-harm, disordered eating, anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD, domestic violence, trauma, and suicidality/suicidal ideation. Jackie practices from a Reality Therapy/Choice Theory lense though also heavily uses methods from CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory. She is looking forward to gaining more experience and training in trauma treatment and getting back into neurofeedback training in her practice.

 Originally from the Boise, Idaho area, I began my career working as a DDA with children and adolescents with developmental delays, then adapted into helping families and individuals. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2011 followed by completing Idaho State University’s Counseling Program in 2014 and graduating with a Master of Mental Health Counseling.

My primary theoretical approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. However I also utilize a variety of approaches depending on the need/desire of my client. I hold certifications in Accelerated Resolution Therapy(ART), Safe and Sound Protocol(SSP), Clinical telemental health professional(CCTHP), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional(CCTP), Animal Assisted Intervention(AAI) and am now a registered supervisor for those seeking licensure both LPC and Clinical as well as provide professional consultations. 

I have extensive experience working with child and adolescent victims of sexual abuse and a variety of other trauma, as well as attachment issues such as Reactive Attachment Disorder. I use principles from Nancy Thomas's Healing Hearts Camp to address these issues. I also have knowledge and experience working with families struggling with sibling and parent conflict issues, anxiety disorders, depression disorders, PTSD, Bi-Polar, Domestic Violence, Relationship issues, self-esteem and identity issues.

Life presents ongoing challenges resulting in stress, trauma and growth opportunities. Learning to navigate these events or scenarios can impact life satisfaction and ability to feel completeness and joy. Struggle does not always impair it can move along growth and inner strength.  I am a male counselor with a wonder family. I have 6 children and dozens of life encounters chosen by fate. I enjoy meeting diverse types of individualsand families. I embrace multicultural awareness and feel this is paramount in counseling as people, families and groups are unique. I am bi lingual and love continued learning. I use CBT, TFCBT, DBT, Sand Tray therapy and play therapy among many other modalities in my approach. 

McKenna, originally from the Boise, Idaho area, has been residing in Pocatello for the past four years. She graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University. She taught Kindergarten for three years locally. Currently, she is in her final year at Idaho State University, pursuing her Master's degree in Counseling. McKenna serves as both a Community-Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS) staff member and a Counseling Intern. She enjoys working with people of all ages and is eager to continue serving the Pocatello community. 

Morgan, originally from the Twin Falls area, has been attending Idaho State University for the past four years. She graduated with her associates in highschool and jumped into her Bachelor’s of Psychology degree when she started at ISU. She is currently in her last year of the Masters of Counseling program in the Clinical Mental Health track. She started the program when she was just twenty years old! Morgan is a Counseling Intern and is excited to serve the Pocatello area.

  Faith graduated from Idaho State University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Faith has worked in case management with substance use disorder, providing resources and support to individuals and families. Faith will work as a (CBRS) Community- Based Rehabilitation Services worker and our Case Manager. In her free time, Faith enjoys hiking, making coffee, and exploring new places. She is excited to work with members of the community & helps them towards a brighter future!

Doug has a Master's Degree in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University. He has been in the mental health field for over 10 years.Doug has worked as  a CBRS case manager and  also been involved in QIDP for various agencies in my spare time. In his spare time he loves to golf, read,  spend time with his wife and four children.  What excites him about working in this field is watching people struggle and fight as they find their passions and paths that allow them to live out their dreams and accomplish things that they have set to accomplish.
